I'm currently using a pretty solid setup from 2022 with an Intel i7 11700 processor, an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, 32GB of 3200 MHz RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I mainly play World of Warcraft, and I've heard it should run the upcoming expansion just fine on medium graphics settings. However, I've noticed some performance issues—especially when lots of tabs are open—and occasionally I hear a weird noise that makes me think my PC might be overheating. I'm torn between upgrading my components now while prices are somewhat stable or waiting to see if prices drop further, which might make today's prices seem cheap later. I'm leaning towards upgrading now to avoid future regrets, but I'm not sure if it's worth it or what to upgrade.

Honestly, your rig is more than adequate for WoW. If you're experiencing random issues, a fresh Windows install might do the trick. Sometimes it's about a clean start rather than new hardware!
If you feel like an upgrade is necessary, check to see what's being maxed out while you're gaming. If it's your GPU, then upgrade that. If it’s your CPU, consider swapping to a DDR4 LGA1700 motherboard with a 14600K for a good boost without paying extra for DDR5. But try out the new expansion first to see how your setup performs!
Consider just upgrading to a larger SSD instead! With relatively better prices right now, a 2TB SSD could give you the extra space you need without breaking the bank. Your current hardware should handle WoW without any major issues.
I think your current setup is still solid for WoW, so you might want to hold off on a big upgrade. Focus on what you're actually using it for, and it seems like you're doing fine. Save some cash for now!
For your use case, everything looks great! If storage is tight, now would be the time to grab another SSD. The increasing demand for SSDs might push prices up soon, so it’s smart to think ahead.

Awesome, thanks for the tip!
