Advice for a New DevOps Engineer in a Company Lacking DevOps Practices

I recently graduated from my DevOps internship and got hired as a junior DevOps Engineer. While I've done some self-study and completed projects during my internship, I'm finding that my new company doesn't practice DevOps much at all. It's been a month since I started, and I often feel unproductive. I'm keen to fill my knowledge gaps through hands-on projects and certifications—AZ-400 is next on my list. Do you have any suggestions for advancing my career in this situation?

Keep pushing for those changes you want to see in your role. If you feel stagnant, it's also okay to start exploring options for your next job when you're ready.

One idea is to take the initiative and help your company implement the DevOps practices you feel are lacking. It might not be easy, but showing leadership could make a difference for both you and your team.

Just try to be the change you want to see! Instead of waiting for a perfect environment, look for opportunities to introduce DevOps principles in your daily work.
