I recently built a PC with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RTX 5070TI. While playing Spiderman 2 on max graphics settings, I've noticed my CPU usage spikes between 80% and 90%, but it doesn't stay at a constant level. I've checked out some videos, and others seem to have much lower CPU utilization. Is this normal, or should I be worried about overheating?

What are your CPU temperatures while gaming? That can help identify if it's overheating. Just a heads up, high CPU usage can be normal when running demanding games, but we want to keep an eye on those temps.
Also, modern motherboards won’t boot if they don’t detect a CPU fan connected. So, your CPU has built-in protections that help prevent overheating. Just keep an eye on those usage spikes and temperatures during your gaming sessions!
The maximum operating temperature for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is around 89°C. If it's hitting those temperatures, it will just throttle down to protect itself, so there’s usually no lasting damage unless you’re running it with no cooling at all. Just make sure your cooler is working well!
