I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where my PC's disk usage spikes to 100% every time I try to download or update a game. This high disk usage lasts until I cancel the update or download. I'm not sure if this is because my SSD is failing, or if it's linked to some driver updates I installed recently through the MSI Center app. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I'm happy to share more details about the updates if that would help!

How old is your SSD? Also, have you considered using any tools to check on its health? Programs like CrystalDiskInfo can give you insight into whether your drive is at risk.
It sounds like it could be a combination of both issues. To really determine if your SSD is the problem, the best way to check would be to do a clean install of Windows from a USB drive, making sure to delete all partitions on your SSD. It’s not the most convenient solution, but it can be quick and could resolve the issue.
You might want to run a chkdsk to see if that clears things up. I had a similar problem with a WD Green SATA disk where my system slowed down due to the disk hitting 100%. Running chkdsk helped for a time, although eventually, I upgraded to an NVMe drive which fixed the problem long-term.
