My SSD Won’t Connect: Need Help Troubleshooting

Hi everyone! I'm using an Intel Core i5-6300 laptop, and I've run into a problem with my SSD. A while back, the SSD fell out and has been giving me trouble ever since. Now, I've bought a new SSD, but my laptop isn't detecting it at all. When I try to find the hard disk, I get an error message saying, "Make sure the power and data cables are connected." I've searched for answers but can't seem to find a clear solution. Any advice would be really appreciated!

To start, it would be really helpful to know your laptop's make and model, as well as the details of both the old and new SSDs you're trying to use. This gives people a better idea of your setup and can help narrow down the issue. Also, you mentioned the SSD kept falling out before—was it not secured properly? That might be something to look into.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation! Since the new SSD isn't being recognized either, I'd recommend checking the SSD slot itself to ensure there are no issues. Sometimes, dust or debris can cause connection problems. If it looks clean, try reseating the SSD again and see if it helps.
