I'm helping out with a family member's laptop, which has been acting up lately. The owner reset the device a few days ago, and it worked fine until today when it suddenly got stuck in a recovery loop. I'm being sent to the recovery environment, but I'm not sure what steps to take next.
I followed some tutorials, but I keep ending up back at square one. Here's what I've done so far (I had to ask an AI for help since I'm not very tech-savvy):
I. Ran Startup Repair.
II. Conducted a disk check (chkdsk) with no errors detected.
III. Reconstructed the boot using bcdboot (Windows is on the D: partition) and that completed successfully.
IV. Performed a system file check with offline sfc /scannow, which found no integrity issues.
V. Tried entering Safe Mode (using F4/F5), but it just returns to the recovery screen.
VI. Looked for System Restore options, but there are no restore points available.
VII. Notably, the "Reset this PC" option is missing for me.
Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks for your help!

You might want to test the hard drive, as it could be failing. Check if there are any diagnostics available in the BIOS that can help you out.
First, it would help to know the laptop's make and model, as well as the version of Windows you’re using. This info can make a big difference in troubleshooting.
It's a Positivo laptop, a Brazilian brand. I'm not sure of the exact model right now, but the OS is Windows 10.

Thank you for the suggestion!!!
