Is Upgrading to an i9-14900K Compatible with My Existing Setup?

I'm about to upgrade my desktop and want to ensure everything is compatible. I'm keeping my RTX 4080 and DDR4 RAM while changing the CPU, motherboard, PSU, and cooling system. I specifically want suggestions for cases with RGB lighting that can accommodate both a 280 mm AIO cooler and the RTX 4080. Currently, I'm upgrading from an i7-9700K with an MSI Z390 Gaming Edge motherboard, Corsair RM750x PSU, and using air cooling. I've linked my PCPartPicker list for reference. Thanks for your help!

I wouldn't recommend a 280mm AIO; instead, check out the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360. It's highly rated for efficiency. Plus, the Phanteks XT Pro Ultra case comes with RGB fans and would fit your needs well.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into that.

If you decide to go with the i9-14900K, make sure to update the BIOS before installing it. This can prevent issues related to the previous CPU degrading.

Appreciate the heads up on that!

If you're mostly gaming, consider saving some cash by opting for the i5-14600K instead. It still packs a punch and can help with energy efficiency.

My setup is a mix of gaming and 3D rendering, so I need the best performance possible.

The performance difference isn't huge, but every bit counts when it comes to CPU power.
