Why are my pirated games running at such low FPS on Linux?

I'm using CachyOS with my Nvidia 470xx drivers installed for a GT 755M GPU. I confirmed the drivers are working using nvidia-smi, but when I try to run a pirated Windows game like Clone Drone in the Danger Zone through Lutris or Proton, the FPS drops drastically, sometimes to 10 FPS when I used to get over 100 on Windows. I'm not sure what's causing this issue and looking for some help!

Honestly, though, running pirated games can come with its own issues. Just a thought, but I'd check if there are any additional compatibility problems regarding the games you're trying to run.

Do you have any real evidence that pirated versions are worse, or are you just assuming they are from the start?

It looks like your GPU might not support DXVK properly since it requires at least Vulkan 1.3 and your drivers need to be 550.54.14 or higher. You should check that.

Have you verified that your games are actually running on the GPU and not just using integrated graphics? Sometimes that can cause a huge drop in performance.

You might want to try adding the games to Steam. I've noticed that games tend to perform better when using the Steam version of Proton.

Definitely give that a shot! It's quite effective.

It's always a risk with pirated games. Just saying, you might hit issues down the line with performance or stability.

You probably need to be using a specific version of Proton that best supports your game. Some combinations work much better than others.
