I'm getting really frustrated with the Apple Music Player on my Mac. While I do like its layout, it doesn't hard write tags, which drives me nuts, and the sound quality seems to fluctuate from day to day. I've given Swinsian a shot, but the tagging process is too tedious for my taste. I'm hesitant to drop money on another player that might not fit my needs. So, I'm looking for recommendations on a music player that could replace Apple Music, ideally one with a free trial. I've also tried Foobar, and that just didn't click for me. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you really need a music player that allows for easy playlist management and tagging. Have you considered trying out VLC? While it's more of a media player, it’s pretty versatile and might work for your needs. Plus, it's free! Just make sure to explore the tagging options to see if they might suit you.
