Is There an HDMI Splitter That Can Extend Video to Two Monitors?

I'm looking to connect a second monitor to my laptop, but I've already used up all the USB-C and USB-A ports. I want to extend the display instead of mirroring it, so I'm hoping to find a solution that goes from one male HDMI connector to two male HDMI connectors. I've had trouble finding anything like that; most options are either USB-C to dual HDMI or USB-A to dual HDMI. I want to avoid using a bunch of adapters because that's not ideal. Does anyone know if there's a reliable 1x HDMI to 2x HDMI adapter available? Thanks!

You can't really split an HDMI signal to show different content on two screens at once. If you connect an HDMI splitter, both outputs will display the same image, mirroring your screens. So that won't help if you're trying to extend the display.

A better approach might be to get a USB-C dock. You can plug all your devices into the dock, and then just use a single cable to connect it to your laptop. This way, you can easily connect two monitors without using up all your ports.

That sounds like a solid plan! Here's a link to a docking station that can handle dual 4K outputs: [VisionTek Dock](https://visiontek.com/products/visiontek-vt1200dl-universal-dual-4k-docking-station-usb-a-usb-c?variant=46359006445780&country=US¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22837757261&gbraid=0AAAAADjNg7IkxIiiYRQXmOsaIsOID9IWT&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0p7KBhCkARIsAE6Xlan3tG7zGfo6Qj1I0gW4lygBjAvZ6RcvIxlBne_hbiMVk5DP0VZiz3gaAhPQEALw_wcB). It simplifies the connection process!
