I'm thinking about upgrading to the RX 9060 XT 16GB graphics card from my current RX 550. My goal is to play games like Skyrim and Dark Souls 3 at 1080p with 60FPS. I also want to know if this GPU will work with my current setup, which includes a Ryzen 5 3600, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and an MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wifi Motherboard. Do I need to upgrade anything else? Looking forward to your thoughts!

The price you're seeing aligns with the original MSRP from when the GPU launched, so I'd say it’s a fair deal. Your current build can work, but definitely consider adding more RAM. DDR4 prices have increased, but it’s not too crazy compared to DDR5.
Your motherboard and CPU are decent, but the RAM is a weak point. You can buy the RX 9060 XT from Micro Center alongside a RAM upgrade. Opt for 32GB if your budget allows, or stick with 16GB for savings. After that, think about upgrading your CPU to an R5 5600X or even 5800X3D for better performance. Just make sure your power supply can handle the entire setup's wattage!
If I get the GPU and upgrade to 16GB of DDR4, what motherboard would you recommend?
With your setup, the main limitation is your 8GB of RAM, and to a lesser extent, your CPU. That said, hitting 60fps at 1080p should be achievable with the RX 9060 XT, but I'd recommend considering a RAM upgrade too for better performance.
Do you have a preferred place to buy RAM? Also, should I go up to 16 or 32?

Thanks for the advice! What do you think is the best place to pick up DDR4?
