I'm struggling to set a Screen Time passcode on my daughter's iPad that is different from the main passcode used to unlock the device. So far, they've always been the same, and despite my efforts to set a new Screen Time passcode via my iPhone, it doesn't seem to sync to her iPad. I've watched a bunch of instructional videos that make it look easy, but it just won't work for me. I've already tried resetting both devices and toggling settings on and off, but the iPad keeps recognizing the old passcode, which is frustrating. Is there something I might be missing, or should I be considering a factory reset to fix this?

Have you checked if both devices are updated to the latest iOS? Sometimes, if one device isn’t current, it can cause syncing issues.
Just a heads up, the Screen Time passcode is indeed separate from the device passcode. You can change it by going to Settings > Screen Time > [child's name] > Change Screen Time Passcode on your iPhone. Make sure that you're checking that on the iPad correctly too! If you’re doing everything right on your end, it could be worth verifying that both devices are on the same network and signed into the same iCloud account.
