Is it normal for my QD-OLED monitor to show zero latency while gaming?

I recently picked up a QD-OLED monitor, specifically the MSI MPG 271QRX, and I've noticed that my latency readings stay at zero while I'm gaming. I have a gaming rig with a 7800x3d CPU, a 3080 GPU, and 32GB of RAM. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? How exactly is latency measured in this context?

If you're asking about the pixel refresh times, OLEDs generally have sub-1ms refresh rates, which is pretty awesome and might explain your readings.

How are you measuring the latency? That can sometimes give unexpected results depending on the tool you're using.

I'm using the Nvidia app overlay to check it.

I’ve never used the setup you're describing, but is that zero latency reading dependent on having a G-Sync module along with the Nvidia Reflex latency analyzer? That could change the way you see the numbers.

Just to clarify, when you say latency, what exactly do you mean? There are different types of latency, like input lag and response time, and they can behave differently.
