I'm thinking about upgrading from my RTX 3060 to a new RTX 5070, but I'd like to stick with my Ryzen 5 5600 for now since I'm not keen on spending $300 for a 5700X3D. Will my current setup handle 1440p and 3440x1440 well? I'm hoping this combination will last until either the high-end AM4 CPUs get more affordable or RAM prices drop, making an upgrade to AM5 feasible. Thanks for any advice!

Yeah, you'll be totally fine! Worst case, you might need to dial down some graphics settings in CPU-intensive games. I have a similar processor but paired with a 4070, and I usually just let the Nvidia app choose my graphics settings. I still get great visuals and performance on my setup!

Honestly, with your resolution, I wouldn’t bother buying another AM4 CPU. Just wait for a good AM5 bundle when it’s affordable.
