Looking for PC Build Advice for Total War: Warhammer 3

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new gaming PC and I could really use your help. The last time I built my own was with a GTX 580 GPU, and I later upgraded to a 1070 before my entire rig unfortunately gave out. After a year without a PC, I'm aiming to put together a solid setup by January 2026.

I want a PC that can handle Total War: Warhammer 3 like a champ, hitting a minimum of 60fps at 1080p on Ultra settings with Ultra unit sizes. Fast load and turn times are essential too, as I want to immerse myself in the game. I'm not looking to play anything at 4K or super high frames; Warhammer 3 is my main focus, but I also enjoy games like Rimworld and Factorio.

I'm considering either buying one off the shelf or getting a custom build, but I've heard mixed things about retailers like Currys in the UK. Any suggestions for parts or where to buy would be greatly appreciated!

What’s your budget looking like? If you're around £1500, you should be able to get some impressive parts. There are also retailers like Scan that might have good options near you. Have you considered pre-built systems? They can save you time and effort, especially with the current RAM pricing issues.

I’d love to stick to that budget or less if possible. I'll look at pre-built options too!

A pre-built setup could work well, especially with the ongoing RAM crisis. You can find decent deals online, and it might save you some hassle. Just keep an eye on the specs to ensure they match your gaming needs, especially for Total War: Warhammer 3. If you’re in a hurry, going pre-built is probably the best way to go!

You might want to check out some online forums for custom builds that suit your needs. There's a subreddit dedicated to helping with PC builds, and they can really help you pick the right parts. Just make sure to give them your budget and specific requirements!

Thanks! I’ll definitely check that subreddit out.
