I have a 65W laptop charger, but the pin on it broke. I ended up cutting off the damaged pin and replacing it with another one meant for LED lights. It charges normally now, but I'm worried that using this pin could potentially harm my laptop since it's not originally designed for it. Should I keep using it or look for a new charger?

It might work fine for now, but I definitely recommend getting a new charger. The replacement pin is likely meant for lower wattages, so your laptop might not get enough power in the long run. Better safe than sorry!
Just bite the bullet and buy a new charger. It's always better to stick to the original specs, especially if your laptop relies on consistent power.
As long as the pin fits and you respected the polarity, you should be fine. But if you're worried, it’s probably best to switch it out for a proper charger when you can.
I don't get it, can you explain a bit more?

Yeah, it's working, but I'm just nervous since my original was 65W and the new pin seems low wattage.
