How to Enable Secure Boot on My ASUS Motherboard Without Locking Myself Out?

Hey everyone! I built my PC last summer, and I'm trying to enable Secure Boot on my ASUS B650E MAX GAMING WIFI motherboard. My full specs are: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64GB RAM, and a Radeon RX 9070 XT with Windows 11 Pro installed. I found out that Secure Boot is not only safer, but it's also required for a game I want to play. However, when I checked my BIOS settings, my CSM is disabled and the Secure Boot state is set to 'User' with the OS type as 'Other OS'. I noticed some Secure Boot keys already created, but I don't remember setting these up myself. I'm hesitant to make changes because I've heard I could lock myself out or even need a new motherboard if things go wrong. Can I follow a YouTube guide to reset back to default and enable Secure Boot, or is there something I should be careful about? Appreciate any guidance!

Enabling Secure Boot is generally safe and helps protect your system from malicious boot loaders, especially with games requiring it now. Just ensure that Bitlocker is off first, and back up all your recovery keys. Once that’s done, enabling Secure Boot should go smoothly. Just remember to keep that backup handy in case something unexpected happens!

Thx a lot for the comment, I'll turn off bitlocker completely as per the other advice and then reset the keys.

Before you start, make sure that Device Encryption or Bitlocker is turned off in Windows. If it’s on, you should turn it off and let it decrypt fully, which might take a while. Once that’s done, you can reset the keys and then enable Secure Boot safely. Just to be cautious, set your computer to never sleep while it's decrypting so it can finish uninterrupted.

Thanks for the response, I'll try that, bitlocker is on, so I'll decrypt first before going ahead. Hopefully all will be well.
