Hey everyone! I'm looking for help with a CPU upgrade issue. I have an Asrock B550M Pro 4 motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 processor. I recently bought a Ryzen 7 5700X3D and updated my BIOS to the latest version (p3.90) before the swap. The CPU had a pin issue, which I got repaired, and it worked perfectly in the technician's test kit. However, after I brought it home and replaced the 3600 with the new 5700X3D, my PC won't boot. The 3600 works fine when I put it back, but the new CPU doesn't boot at all. I've even replaced the CMOS battery but no luck. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

Have you tried waiting a bit for the boot? When you install a new CPU, the system usually needs to retrain the memory, which can take a few minutes. I also suggest doing a full CMOS reset before trying to boot with the new CPU again. And just to be safe, double-check that the pins on the 5700X3D are still straight. Sometimes they can get bent again when you place the CPU into the socket, even after repair.
If the new CPU isn’t booting up at all, you might want to check your power connections. Make sure everything is plugged in properly, and if your system isn't powering on at all (like fans not spinning and no lights), there could be other issues at play. What about the power supply? Is it adequate for the new CPU?
