I recently built a new PC with a 5070 graphics card, but now I'm feeling a bit of buyer's remorse about my choice of CPU. I'm planning to upgrade to a 1440p monitor soon, and I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone for the Ryzen 9 9800x3d instead of the 7800x3d. Did I make a big mistake?

Chill out! The 7800x3d is still a powerful CPU for 1440p gaming. I've got a 5600x and I run 1440 just fine with a 4070! You won't regret your choice; it’s more than enough for great performance.
Honestly, you won't even notice a difference in most games. I run dual 1440p displays with a 5800x3d and a 4070, and it's all smooth sailing for me!
You're looking good with the 7800x3d! At 1440p, the GPU is usually the real bottleneck anyway. Yours is a solid setup that will serve you well.
Totally, the 7800x3d is basically amazing for gaming. Most games won't show a noticeable gap between it and the 9800x3d.
Agreed! The 7800x3d isn't too far off from the 9800x3d. You'll be fine for gaming at that resolution.
