I recently put together a new gaming PC since I was using a GTX 1060 for the past eight years. Given the current prices in the US, I'm pretty sure I paid more than I should have, but I needed the upgrade for my work. I'm looking for some feedback on whether my build is reasonably priced and if there are any components I should consider swapping out for better value. Here's what I ended up with:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7700 for $305
- GPU: Refurbished Radeon 7800xt for $655
- Motherboard: MSI B650s Pro for $180
- RAM: DDR5 TEAMGroup 2x16GB for $93
- Storage: 1TB NVMe for $87
- Case: Corsair 3500x for $95
- PSU: Corsair 750W for $114
- AIO Cooler: Arctic Freeze III for $108
Total cost, including tax, came to $1765.

I saw the 7600x on Amazon for about $200. It's a solid CPU for gaming, you might want to look into that instead.
Looks like you might have overpaid a bit, especially for the GPU. While the overall build isn't terrible, I think you could have found cheaper options for both the CPU and GPU given the current market.
Most of your parts are fine, but that GPU price is definitely higher than average. You might want to check out the 5070 or 9070 models; they offer better features like DLSS and FSR 4 for around that price range.
I remember looking into those too, but everything I found was at least $800 sadly.
Honestly, the CPU and GPU prices are a bit crazy at the moment. Everything else looks pretty decent, though.
Yeah, I was also keeping an eye on prices, and for around $600 you can often get the 7800 XT, but you should also consider the 9070 XT if you can find it for less than $900.
