My phone's motherboard has fried, and I'm struggling to get my files back. I have a Samsung Note 20, which still makes alarm sounds and can turn the flashlight on, but I can't use apps like ScrCpy or DRfone without verification. I'm looking for software that allows access to the display without needing to verify my phone first. I've already taken it to a repair shop, but they said it only works for about three minutes at a time, and that doesn't include the screen. Any advice?

It’s going to be a bit pricey to fix the motherboard if it’s really fried, especially if you need to log in using ADB through USB. If that's not possible, is there a way to connect your phone to an external display using a USB-C to HDMI cable? That might at least give you access depending on the issue.
It sounds like there might be some confusion here. If your motherboard is truly fried, then it usually wouldn’t be able to perform those tasks like making sounds or turning on the flashlight. Can you clarify what exactly is happening with your phone?
Honestly, if alarms and basic functions are still running, the problem may be with the display or its connection rather than the whole motherboard. You might want to try finding a different repair person who can diagnose the issue properly instead of assuming the whole board is done for!
Wow, that's tricky! If it can only work for three minutes, sounds like you might need to get it fixed properly. In the meantime, have you tried logging into your Google account on a computer to check if any of your data is backed up there? Also, make sure that you had backups enabled on your Samsung account. That could save you a lot of hassle!
Data recovery is tough when things start frying. If your motherboard is gone, and you can't get into the phone's system, it might be a lost cause. But if it's just the display that's an issue, sometimes they can replace that for a reasonable price, so you can get your files back that way.

I honestly can't remember if my backups were turned on. I think I may have neglected that. Thanks for reminding me to check!
