Can I Use a 12-Pin to 2x 8-Pin Adapter with My PSU?

I recently got a new GPU that comes with a 12-pin to 2x 8-pin adapter. My power supply unit (PSU) has cords that can split from 2 to 6 pins. Is it okay to use this setup, or should I get a new PSU that has two dedicated 8-pin connectors?

6+2 definitely equals 8! You’ll be good to go with your new GPU setup!

Yeah, most modern PSUs come with 6+2 pin connectors. They can be used as either 6 or 8 pins, so you should be all set. Just make sure they plug in securely!

2+6 equals 8! If you're having trouble fitting them together, some connectors even have clips to hold them in place.

Using a 6+2 pin connector is perfectly fine; it works the same as an 8-pin. No worries there!

Thanks for clarifying! I just wanted to make sure everything was compatible.
