I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup with a budget of around $1600. I'm not super knowledgeable about PC components, but I currently have a laptop with a GTX 1060 6GB, an i7 8750 processor, and 16GB of RAM. Since I can't frequently upgrade due to my budget, I want to make sure whatever I buy will be good enough for a few years, particularly for gaming and possibly some AI image generation. Any recommendations?

Here are a few components you should consider for your build: an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, and if you want a graphics card, the EVGA 390 Ti FTW3 might be a great option, though it could be a bit overkill. These choices are solid for gaming and should last you a long time!

That sounds like a lot for just gaming. Are you sure the 390 Ti is necessary?
