I'm interested in purchasing a VR headset, but I'm uncertain if my gaming setup can handle it. Here are my specs:
- MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB GAMING X TRIO
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor (3.70 GHz) 35 MB
- MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK Motherboard
- Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Vengeance
- Corsair RM750X 750W v2 Power Supply
- Kingston A2000 1TB M.2 NVMe Storage
I'm looking to spend up to $700 on the headset, and I'm particularly interested in having a wide field of view for an immersive experience. Ease of use is a plus as well. I've been considering the Meta Quest 3, but I'm worried my system might not be powerful enough for it. I don't have much knowledge about VR, and I often get confused while researching. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your rig actually has more than enough power for most VR games, but it can depend on what specific titles you're interested in. The Meta Quest 3 is a solid choice, especially for its price, and it's great for wireless streaming if you've got decent WiFi.

That's a relief! I want to play Half Life Alyx and maybe some walking simulators like Everybody's Gone to The Rapture and What Remains of Edith Finch. I tried a VR headset before and didn't experience any nausea, so I'm excited to dive in. I think I'll just wire it up to my PC for stability since my WiFi is mostly for guests.
