Is My i7 9700 Causing a Bottleneck with My RTX 5070 Ti?

I've currently got an i7 9700 paired with an RTX 5070 Ti in my setup. Upgrading from an RTX 3070 was a noticeable boost in frame rates, but it hasn't felt entirely stable. When I compare my performance to my brother's rig, which features a 9070 XT and a 7800X3D, it seems like I'm hitting some bottlenecks. I often find myself using Process Lasso to prioritize game performance and keep everything else at low priority just to play without stutters and input lag. I'm planning to fully upgrade my motherboard and CPU to a Ryzen 7800X3D and 32GB of DDR5 soon. What kind of performance increases should I expect, and how bad is my current bottleneck? Any other crucial tips for my build? Thanks in advance!

Once you upgrade to the Ryzen 7800X3D, your performance should closely match what your brother has. You'll likely see a significant improvement, especially in CPU-intensive games. Just remember, the i7 9700 can bottleneck higher-end GPUs like the RTX 5070 Ti, particularly at 1440p.

Do you think my bottleneck is really that severe? I mainly play at 1440p.
