Is a 550W Power Supply Sufficient for My First PC Build?

I'm building my first PC and I bought a 550W power supply, but I'm starting to worry if it's actually enough. Here's my setup: an RTX 5060 Ti (16GB), a Ryzen 5 5600 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a B550M K motherboard, along with two case fans and a CPU air cooler. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest using a PSU wattage calculator like the one from Newegg. It can help you determine if you're covered, especially for future upgrades.

A 550W PSU should work for your setup, but quality matters just as much as wattage. Make sure your PSU is from a reputable brand.

You're likely fine with 550W. Most builds use around 250W at full load. I managed with a 500W PSU on a more demanding setup without issues, so you should be okay.

It’s enough for now, but I’d recommend considering a 650W unit for peace of mind. The price difference is minimal, and it gives you room for upgrades.

I understand the concern, but I've already purchased the 550W PSU.

Your GPU uses around 180W max and the CPU is typically 65W but can go up to 130W with overclocking. Adding it all up, your max draw under stress is about 410W, so a 550W PSU is definitely sufficient for now.
