Why won’t my new PC display anything on the monitor?

I'm building a PC for the first time and using my old RAM and SSD, but everything else is new. I've got four sticks of DDR4 RAM in there. When I start the PC, the fans spin up and the GPU gets a bit warm, so it seems like they're working. But my monitor is displaying 'no signal' no matter what I try. I've checked all the connections to the motherboard, but I'm still stuck. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem once, and it turned out to be a faulty RAM stick. You might want to check your RAM sticks to see if any of them are causing the issue.

Have you tried unplugging your monitor’s power cord and plugging it back in? That usually helps with similar issues for me.

Make sure the cable is plugged directly into your GPU and not into the motherboard. Also, double-check that it's properly seated in both the GPU and the monitor.

Try power cycling your monitor. And check if the correct input is selected on the monitor itself; sometimes it can default to the wrong one.
