I accidentally set 7zip as the default program to open .exe files while trying to download an application. Now all my .exe files are associated with 7zip, and I can't revert them back to the default settings. I can still access Notepad and the command prompt, but I can only run the command prompt in safe mode. I need help figuring out how to fix this issue and restore my .exe file associations.

Have you tried accessing the Windows settings? Press Win + R, type `ms-settings:`, and hit ENTER. If that doesn't work because of the association issue, you may have to reset your PC or use a recovery method to get back to normal file types.
You might be able to reset your .exe file associations using the command prompt. Try searching online for specific commands that can help you fix this issue. If you can't run the command prompt as an admin, you might want to boot into regular mode and see if that changes anything.
I tried that, but it says there's no program associated to perform the requested action.
