How can I remotely access my grandma’s phone when she’s not tech-savvy?

I'm trying to figure out a way to remotely access my grandma's phone. She lives in another country and isn't very good with technology. Recently, we've had trouble contacting her because our relatives over there have allegedly turned off the Wi-Fi on her phone, which seems to be affecting all communication. I'd like to know if there are apps or tools that can help me reach her phone, even if it's not connected to Wi-Fi. Any suggestions or alternative solutions would be really appreciated!

If her phone has a mobile data plan, you might be able to use remote support apps to connect. But since you can’t even make a call to her, it sounds like there’s a complete loss of connection. No connection means no way to access the phone, unfortunately.

If there's a recurring issue like the Wi-Fi being turned off, you could set up some automations. For example, on her iPhone, you can use the Shortcuts app to automatically turn on Wi-Fi or data at a certain time each day. Android users can achieve similar results with apps like Tasker or Macrodroid.

Have you thought about contacting a local agency where she lives? They might be able to do a welfare check. Her situation could raise concerns about her safety or well-being.

Could you clarify how you want to use the remote access tool? There are different options depending on what you need.

You could try using TeamViewer or a similar app. Just keep in mind that it requires some setup on her end and a stable internet connection.
