Concern about GPU Temperatures with a Broken Fan

I've got an issue with my GTX 1070 – one of the fans is broken. I'm planning to get a replacement soon, but I need a friend's help to install it since I'm not very handy with PCs and lack the tools. In the meantime, I'm worried about my GPU's temperatures while gaming. I've been playing Arc Raiders, and I'm monitoring the temps with HWInfo. The highest I've seen is in the high 70s, which seems fine to me. My main concern is if the temp goes into the 80s during gaming. I've heard as long as it stays under 90 degrees, it's okay, but the thermal limit shows 83. I'm not sure if that's for the core temps or the hotspot temps. I just want to make sure my GPU doesn't degrade or get damaged while I wait for the new fan!

Honestly, hotspot temps can hit the high 80s without any real issues. It sounds like you’re in a safe zone for now.

But what about that thermal limit of 83? Is that a big deal?

You can try something fun like using Legos to build a structure that holds a case fan near your GPU. Just plug it into the motherboard for fan control! I've used a similar method before to cool my GPU with a custom heatsink. It can really help!
