Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the information out there. I want to know if this build is good for casual gaming. Here's what I've got:
- Intel Core i5-6500
- GeForce GTX 1060 – 6 GB GDDR5
- HP 802F Motherboard
- 16GB SK hynix DDR4-2400 RAM
- 256GB Micron SSD
- HP 80+ Platinum 400W PSU
- LG 24BP45SP-B 24" 60Hz Full HD Monitor
For me, casual gaming includes Fortnite, GTA V, and RDR—my phone even handles RDR, so I'm curious about this setup. I'm not really into FPS games or titles like Witcher 3. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have a bit of a more powerful setup with a 1070ti, and I still struggle with Fortnite sometimes. Just keeping that in mind, your performance might vary.
I bought a similar setup back in late 2016 and it worked great for me until I upgraded in 2022. It should handle older games quite well, so you should be in good shape for casual gaming!
Looks good to me for basic gaming! You’ll be just fine for playing the games you mentioned.
Yeah, that build looks solid for casual gaming. You should expect decent performance in most games, maybe up to something like Cyberpunk 2077 if you tweak the settings a bit.

What games were you able to play on it? And when you say older games, what titles do you mean?
