I recently got a Ryzen 7 9700x paired with a Gigabyte b650 Gaming X board, but I'm really confused about which GPU to go with. I ended up picking up a 9060xt because of its price and VRAM, but after doing some research, I've noticed that it's mainly being tested with Zen 5 setups and the 1440p benchmarks don't look so impressive. Since this is my first PC build, I want to know what GPU would be a better option for gaming at 1440p, ideally under $550. Will 12GB of VRAM be sufficient? I'm also considering the 9070 (non-XT) as an option.

I’m using the 9060xt and I think it’s solid for the price. But, if you're looking for the best performance, I'd rank the GPUs like this: 5070 > 5060ti > 9060xt. The 5070Ti and 9070XT are quite powerful but can be overkill for 1440p and might stretch your budget. If you find the 9060XT for around $350, it’s a great deal. Otherwise, the 5070 at $550 is a decent option as well, while the 5060ti offers good performance for around $420. If you want something more budget-friendly, definitely go for the 9060xt.
Honestly, the best choice at your budget would be the 9070. It just offers superior performance compared to the others, especially for 1440p gaming.

Thanks for your insights! I'm looking at the 5070 because I love the benchmarks I’ve seen. Also, Walmart has it for $480, which seems like a good deal!
