Which Desktop Environment Lets You Customize Icon Text?

I'm using Bazzite, and while it has some great quality of life features, I'm struggling with the gaming aspect since I don't have a lot of time for games. One major issue is that I can't edit the icon text in KDE Plasma, and icons don't automatically appear on the desktop. I'm wondering if there's a desktop environment that automatically adds icons to the desktop and allows me to customize how the icon text looks? Or is there a way to tweak this in KDE? I thought KDE was supposed to be highly customizable, but I'm not a fan of the default white text on a black shadow.

I've had some success with this in Cinnamon! It lets you change the text of the icons pretty easily. Just go to the settings and check the options for desktop icons. But could you clarify what you mean by 'icon text'? Are you talking about the font itself or just how the text looks underneath the icons?

You might want to check out other desktop environments too. XFCE and Mate are pretty customizable and might have more options for desktop icons and their text options. Just keep in mind that customization can vary greatly, so it's worth trying a few different ones out to find the right fit for you!
