Recently, my girlfriend's Tecno Spark 10 Pro started charging very slowly, displaying a message that says 'charging in safe mode.' This issue appeared suddenly and I've checked all settings and watched various tutorials without finding much information on it. Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution?

I haven't heard of that phone model, but typically in Android settings, there's a battery section where you might find options related to charging modes. It could be labeled something like 'safe charging' or similar. Good luck!

It's possible that 'safe mode charging' is just their term for a low-amperage charging state due to some electronic issue. If the phone isn't meeting the fast charging requirements—like the right cable or charger—it defaults to a slower speed. Someone probably thought 'safe mode charging' sounded a lot better than just saying it's charging slowly.

Sounds like the phone might be indicating it can't do fast charging rather than being in a literal 'safe mode.' Try using a different charger if you haven't yet; sometimes, compatibility issues can throttle the charging speed.

The phone is supposed to support 18W fast charging, but it still charges slowly regardless of the charger. It consistently shows that 'charging in safe mode' message.
