Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind because I think I'm missing some power supply cables needed to upgrade from my old GPU (RTX 3070) to a new one (Geforce RTX 5070 TI). I bought the new GPU with my Christmas bonus and made sure it would fit, but when I checked the cables, I noticed that the one I used for my old GPU is a 2x4 and 2x3 (which I edited from another 2x4). The new GPU requires a 2x6 connector. I saw there's an adapter, but it requires three 2x4 cables. I'm really worried that I might have thrown out the extra cables that came with my power supply. Any advice on what I should do? Thanks!

You can definitely use the 2x4 cables you already have. Just plug two of those into the adapter that came with your new GPU and connect that to the GPU itself. Give it a shot!
Sounds like you might need to get a new PSU to have enough cables.
Just a heads up, if you're missing cables, it might be best to check what model your power supply is. If it's modular and has room for more PCIe connectors, getting a specific 12V-2x6 cable for your new GPU could be the solution. Don't just toss those extra cables next time!
It sounds like your current PSU might not support the new GPU well without extra cables. If you have a modular PSU, you might want to consider investing in a highly rated model like the Corsair RM series.

Thanks for your reply! But I only have two 2x4 cables, so I’m not sure if that’ll be enough, right?
