I'm trying to figure out the best way to buy games for my child's iPad. I have 'Ask to Buy' turned on, but I'd prefer not to add a credit card to their device. Is it possible to buy the game on my own iPad and then share it through Family Sharing? How does that work?

You don't need to set up a credit card on your child's iPad. Just make sure you add them to your Apple Family Sharing group, and you can purchase games on your own device. They’ll be able to access the games through your purchase without needing their own card.
I was wondering if the purchase would show up in your purchase history or your child's. It seems like it'll show in yours since you're the one making the purchase, but they can access it through Family Sharing.
