Need Help Choosing Between a Prebuilt or Building My First PC

Hey everyone! I've finally saved up enough to buy my first PC. I originally thought about getting a prebuilt, but I'm not really sure how to find a good one—I've only got some basic knowledge about RAM and SSDs. I'm also really into how my setup looks, so aesthetics are important to me. However, I've been told that building my own might be quite expensive these days. What do you all recommend? My budget is around $1500.

Best Buy has a few decent gaming prebuilts around your budget. Just make sure to check their stock because prices might go up soon, so grab one while you can!

Right now, prebuilt PCs might actually give you more for your money than building your own. RAM prices are expected to rise soon, so you might want to act quickly. Just keep an eye on prices and stock before they spike!

I was planning to build my own yesterday but ended up getting a prebuilt due to parts being out of stock.

They're going to go up more? I was planning to upgrade in January. Any idea when they might go back down?

If looks are a priority, definitely consider a prebuilt! They often come with cool designs and RGB lighting, which can really make a setup pop.

For a solid start, check out r/buildapcsales for some good deals. First, decide what resolution and FPS you want for gaming and list out the games you're interested in. Once you have that info, keep an eye out for a prebuilt that fits those specs. I generally prefer building, but for your first PC, especially with the current RAM prices, a prebuilt is a smart choice. You can always experiment with building later on!
