Is 50% RAM Usage Normal While Gaming?

I recently picked up a new gaming laptop with 16 GB of RAM and have been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 with high settings. I've noticed that my memory usage is averaging around 50-60% even after a few hours of gameplay. I watched some videos trying to understand if that's normal or if I should be concerned since I'm also experiencing some lag during games. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, 50% usage out of 16GB is pretty solid. When I'm running Discord and a couple of browser tabs without even launching a game, I'm already hitting close to that! It's normal, just depends on what's running in the background.

Maintaining around 50% RAM usage while playing Red Dead Redemption 2 is actually quite good! If that 50% is when you're idle, it's just Windows 11 managing memory efficiently. It tends to free up RAM as needed, so no worries there!

Oh, so it's just sitting at 50% when I'm not doing much? That's a relief!
