I'm on the hunt for a good gaming headset because my cat decided to chew through the wire of my old headphones. I want something with a built-in mic, as I'm not interested in using separate pieces. The ideal headset should provide clear directional audio for gaming—think footsteps and gunshots—and it should also have good sound quality for single-player games and music while I'm writing. If flexibility is key for you, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro is awesome for in-game sound, especially with footsteps. It's wireless, and I found the custom cushions make it really comfy.
