I'm planning to upgrade my PC specifically for playing iRacing in VR using the Quest 2. I'm getting a Ryzen 7 5700x3d since it's a great match for my AM4 motherboard (ASRock B450m Steel Legend). I've heard some friends recommend used GPUs like the 3070ti or 3080, but I'm looking for guidance. What would be the best GPU to go with this CPU considering my budget of $325-$380, whether it's new or used? Also, I'll be using this setup for traditional gaming and 3D modeling in SolidWorks, but most of the time it will be for iRacing. Thanks for any help!

I'm exploring my options too. The price twixt the 5060ti and 3080 isn't massive, and a new card could be appealing. The 3080 is rated higher in gaming capability, but I'm curious what makes the 5060ti a better choice overall.
If you're willing to spend a little more, I'd suggest considering the 5060 ti with 16GB. It's a solid option. If that stretches your budget, the 3080 isn't a bad choice either.
For $380, you could look at the 9060XT; it's below the 5070/ti. It's a great budget-friendly GPU with solid price-to-performance.

I used the 3080 before, and its higher memory bandwidth definitely helps with high-resolution VR. If you can, try to find the 12GB version—it really shines in VR settings.
