Is It Worth Upgrading My GPU and CPU?

I'm considering upgrading my setup because I've recently moved back to the UK and have some extra cash from Christmas — about £450. I currently have a 5500 CPU and RX 7600 GPU. I'm looking at either the 5800X or 5700G paired with a 5060 8GB GPU. Alternatively, I've heard great things about getting the RX 9060 XT 16GB instead. I make videos for YouTube, so performance is important to me. Should I just go for the upgrades, or is there another combo that you all would recommend?

I don't see the point in going for the 5700G since you're getting a GPU anyway. It won't give you much of an upgrade over what you have. Instead, I'd suggest the RX 9060 XT for your budget. It's a solid option! As for your CPU, if your budget allows, try going for the 5700X or 5800X for a good performance boost instead!

True, I checked, and the 5700X is just a much better choice if you want performance.

Honestly, if you're not focused on CPU-heavy gaming, the RX 9060 XT 16GB would be a fantastic choice for you. You’d really benefit from the upgrade, especially for video production tasks!

Plus, you could even overclock your CPU a bit if you want to save money — that's a smart move!

The 5700G is basically the same as the 5500, just a bit faster. You should definitely aim for either the 5800X or a better GPU like the 9060 XT — get the 16GB if you can swing it for future-proofing!

Is the RX 9060 XT 16GB really that much better than the 5060 8GB? I'm a bit tight on budget now.
