I'm currently using a 5070 Ti graphics card and I'm trying to decide whether to install my sound card in the PCIe1 slot located directly under it or to move it to the bottom PCIe16 slot on my motherboard. I'm not planning on overclocking or pushing my system too hard. I'm just a bit concerned about possibly blocking the GPU fan if I install it under the GPU. What do you think is the best option?

Honestly, in 2025, you might be better off with an external DAC, especially if you're into high-quality audio. Many motherboards come with decent onboard audio now, but if you've already noticed poor sound quality, a dedicated sound card could be a worthwhile upgrade!
