Help! My Computer is Typing ‘C’ and ‘V’ on Its Own Without a Keyboard

I've got a Windows computer that keeps registering inputs from the 'C' and 'V' keys even when there's no keyboard plugged in. This odd behavior forces me to restart the computer every time it happens, and then it might stop for a while before starting again. I've been struggling with this issue for over a year now! I've tried deleting the drivers, checking for updates, swapping in different keyboards, and even using the on-screen keyboard, but nothing has worked. I'm out of ideas and might have to back up my files and factory reset. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds like a stuck key signal from your motherboard or possibly a weird software or driver conflict. You might want to check if it's happening in Safe Mode to rule out software issues. If it persists there, it could be a hardware problem.

I did try Safe Mode, and the problem continued. I’m planning to check scheduled tasks next, but there are a ton of them. Any tips on what specifically I should look for?
