I've been experiencing a weird issue where my monitor, which is a Samsung G60 SD, is being recognized by my PC as a Samsung 75C3 TV instead of a regular monitor. This has led to problems like weird colors, brightness issues, and my monitor constantly switching to 4K resolution, even though it's actually a 1440p screen. I've gone through a lot of troubleshooting steps, including swapping the monitor under warranty, getting a new HDMI 2.1 cable, and even factory resetting my PC. My graphics card is a 4080 Super. Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried downloading the driver from Samsung's website? They usually have an INF file you can use, and sometimes a color calibration file too. That might help fix those color issues you're seeing.
It sounds like a software issue on Samsung's end. I suggest checking for any firmware updates. If that doesn't work, you could also try using a DisplayPort connection instead of HDMI. If all else fails, look into using Custom Resolution Utility to manually adjust how your GPU recognizes the monitor.
I had to do that with my last monitor, but I haven’t tried it on this new one yet. Here’s hoping it works! By the way, is Samsung known for having software issues like this a lot?

I actually did this last week and saw a huge improvement in my monitor's display right away. Definitely worth a shot!
