I've got a Samsung G60 SD monitor, but I'm having a strange issue where my PC identifies it as a 75-inch Samsung TV (Samsung 75C3). This has been causing problems like off colors, incorrect brightness, and it keeps switching to 4K resolution even though my monitor is only 1440p. I've tried numerous fixes over the past few weeks, including using my warranty to get a replacement monitor, buying a new HDMI 2.1 cable, and even factory resetting my PC. My GPU is a 4080 Super. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out!

You should head over to Samsung's website and download the INF driver file for your monitor. They sometimes have color calibration files that can help too.
This might just be a quirk with Samsung's software. Try checking for a firmware update if there's one available. You could also switch from HDMI to DisplayPort to see if it helps. If those options don't work, you might want to look into using Custom Resolution Utility to manually adjust what your GPU sees for the display.
I did that on my last monitor, but I haven't tried it on the new one yet. Maybe it’ll have better luck this time? Also, is Samsung known for having buggy software?

I did that last week and it made my monitor look way better instantly!
