Connecting a 5070 Ti to My Power Supply – Need Help!

I recently purchased a 5070 Ti graphics card and I'm trying to connect it to my RM750x power supply. The issue is that my PCIe doesn't have enough slots to connect the 5070 Ti adapter properly. Should I look into getting a new power supply, or is there a special cable I can buy to make it work?

If you continue having issues, consider upgrading to a 1000W modular power supply. That'll solve anything you’re running into with power limitations.

I have the same graphics card and a RM850x. Take a look in the box that came with your PSU; there should be a 12V cable included that can bypass the adapter. If it’s too tight, a 90-degree angle cable from Amazon might help—got mine for under £10!

I have the RMX750 from 2018. Not sure what a 12V cable is; I'm pretty new to all this.

You should be fine as long as you plug in 2-3 PCIe cables, since the adapter is universal for all GPUs. Just make sure that you're using separate cables for each connection rather than splitting them from one hole.

I can only plug in 2, and the adapter actually needs 3. Plus, I’m using cables from the same slot, not sure if that matters.

Just a suggestion, check if your PCIe cables have pigtails. If they do, try connecting one pigtail to the 3rd 8-pin socket of your adapter for better support.
