I've been having some frustrating issues while playing League of Legends. My PC is powerful enough to handle gaming, but I only get around 115-170 FPS while playing League, which seems way lower than expected. When I check the task manager, it shows that my CPU usage fluctuates between 15-40%, and my GPU usage is only about 15%. In contrast, when I play games like Hitman 3, I easily hit 300 FPS and my CPU and GPU usage are around 60%. I've searched for solutions online, but I haven't found anything that works yet. I'm reaching out here for help because this is really bothering me. Here are my specs: GPU is a PNY GeForce RTX VERTO 4070 SUPER, CPU is an Intel Core i7-12700K, and I have 32GB of DDR5 RAM. Let me know if you need more info!

It sounds like your monitor's refresh rate might be affecting your FPS. You're playing on a 2560 x 1440 170 Hz monitor, right? If VSync is enabled, it could be capping your FPS to match that refresh rate, which might explain the drop. Try turning off VSync in the graphics settings to see if that helps. Also, with your monitor's refresh rate, you technically don't need FPS higher than 170.
Another potential issue could be your in-game settings. Make sure you're not running any extra settings that could slow down the game. Sometimes, even high specs can be bottlenecked by certain graphic settings. Lowering some settings might help increase performance.
If none of that works, check your background apps. Make sure there aren’t any unnecessary programs hogging your CPU and GPU in the background while you play League. That could help free up some resources.
