Is it really a big deal to choose a budget motherboard?

Hey everyone! I'm about to build my first PC tomorrow, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Initially, putting together my part list felt straightforward, but after watching some PC building videos, I've started second-guessing my choice of motherboard. I'm using a budget option and it's not from MSI, Asus, or AM5. Should I be worried about skimping on the motherboard, or is it more about how well it functions? Here's my full part list if you want to check it out: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fR3KC8](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fR3KC8). The total for everything is around $900, but it jumps to about $1300 with the peripherals.

Some budget motherboards might lack features or use lower-quality components, but most are decent enough if you avoid the no-name brands. It all depends on your specific needs.

Yeah, totally! If the features fit what you need and it’s from a reputable brand like ASRock, you should be all set.

Building my first PC was nerve-wracking too! It’s easy to feel pressured after watching videos. Just ensure all your parts are compatible and trust the reviews—you'll be fine! Enjoy the process!

Exactly! It can get pricey really fast, but just focus on getting it right and have fun with it.

Just be sure to check reviews, especially for things like VRMs! If they don't overheat, it shouldn't be a problem. But if you're thinking of upgrading your CPU later, just watch for potential issues.

ASRock is a solid choice! As long as the board works well for your build and meets your needs, you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure you check reviews to confirm quality.
