I currently have my devices set up with a US Apple ID for the App Store and a US iCloud account, where I also have a 200GB subscription. As I'm planning to move to Australia, I want to know if I can keep using my US Apple ID for App Store purchases while creating a new iCloud account specifically for Australia. This way, I would be able to have my iCloud subscription charged to my Australian bank, but still maintain access to my purchased apps. Is this possible?

Just to clarify a bit more, you’re right about needing a separate ID for purchases and iCloud. When you create a new iCloud account, it won’t mess with your existing purchases from the US App Store. Also, your AppleCare will stay good since it's tied to your hardware, not the iCloud account itself.
Actually, your Apple ID is technically the same as your iCloud ID, but you can manage your App Store and iCloud accounts separately. So yes, you can keep your US Apple ID for the App Store and just log into a new iCloud account that you set up in Australia. As for your AppleCare, it should remain valid as long as you don’t change the Mac or the warranty status associated with it, so you should be covered even after switching your iCloud ID.
