Fixing Brightness Controls on My HP Laptop

I've tried everything to get the brightness buttons on my HP 15 notebook laptop to work after wiping it clean. I've checked the BIOS, ensured there's no dust, and pressed the FN and escape keys, but nothing happens. I can't even find the brightness slider in settings. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? I'm not super tech savvy, but I'll do my best to respond to any questions!

If you’re not sure which drivers to install, you can usually find them under the section for drivers and downloads on the HP support site for your specific laptop model. Try searching for your exact model number, which should be on a sticker on your laptop, or in the system info settings.

It sounds like you might need to reinstall the software from HP that manages the FN key functions. Head to the HP support website and look for drivers specific to input devices and other components like your chipset, LAN, and WiFi. This should help restore your brightness controls!
